Support Our Small Businesses

Haywood County Hurricane Helene Relief Campaign

The Haywood Advancement Foundation

As our community looks to rebuild and its recovery begins to take shape, helping our businesses is a crucial element for our County’s future success.

The Haywood Advancement Foundation was formed as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the 1990’s to help Haywood County with economic development. After the mill closure last year, the Foundation was reorganized with a 13-member board from the private and public sectors. Chamber President David Francis is the managing director of the Foundation.

The Foundation was able to approve a grant program to help businesses with cleanup efforts. The first checks were given to the owners on October 3rd, and this cleanup grant will be available through the month of October. Also, the Foundation is providing no-interest loans for six months, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

If you would like to support our local businesses, all donations are tax-deductible, and you will receive an email confirming your donation.

Please note there is a processing fee attached to credit card donations. Any check donations can be made out to Haywood Advancement Foundation and mailed to P.O. Box 311 Waynesville, NC 28786
