Haywood Regional Medical Center provides high-quality health care for the people of Haywood County and surrounding communities. Offering over twenty-three specialties, a health and fitness center, an outpatient care center, eight physician clinics and a hospice and palliative care facility, Haywood Regional Medical Center works to improve life in the communities they serve.
Haywood Regional Medical Center was originally the Haywood County Hospital, built in 1927 as the first county owned hospital in the state. The current hospital was completed in 1979 and was acquired by Duke LifePoint Heathcare in August 2014.
The Haywood Regional Outpatient Care Center provides convenient and compassionate care in an outpatient setting. The Haywood Regional Outpatient Care Center is conveniently located on the campus of Haywood Regional Medical Center, nestled between the hospital and the Health & Fitness Center.
Haywood Regional Medical Center Hospice & Palliative Care offers six inpatient hospice beds for the community. The Homestead is the first facility of its’ kind west of Asheville and the care given to patients and their families is second to none.

The Mission Health Center Haywood is part of Asheville-based Mission Health system which is the sixth-largest health system. The Health Center in Clyde provides a positive and friendly healthcare environment that promotes health and manages illness. The facility is designed to offer superior care and services to patients and physicians in an integrated, patient-centered and cost-effective outpatient setting.
