More to do and always great fun! The one-day festival has grown into the region’s premier juried arts and crafts event and celebration of all things apple. Waynesville NC, nestled in the Smoky Mountains, is the perfect spot to enjoy a glorious fall day filled with fun. This year’s festival will feature exhibitors, live entertainment and great food. Come, and be among the crowd of festival goers strolling the street.
Hailed as one of the “10 Best Fall Harvest Festivals in the Nation”, our annual Apple Festival is a celebration of the autumn harvest and Haywood County’s agricultural heritage. But what exactly makes it so great? Is it the charming small town atmosphere? The famous town of Waynesville? The countless booths of fresh apple pies, tarts, caramel apples, ciders, jewlry, pottery and yard art? Well, YES! Make plans now to experience for yourself all that makes our Apple Fest unquestionably one of the best festivals in October… well, anywhere!
Celebrate our farming and pioneer past during this year’s Apple Festival. Haywood County is home to an antique apple orchard, Barbara’s Orchard, with varieties of apples you won’t find anywhere else! Try your hand at hand-cranking ice cream or pressing apple cider, then taste the fruit of your labor. Music, dancing, crafts, and old-fashioned games make this event fun for the whole family!
